The International Conference on the most recent progress and topical directions of basic and applied research in microalgal biology and biotechnology is intended to provide direct interaction for attending delegates, with scientific and technical leaders. Emphasis will be placed on the latest experimental techniques and training in this field. The conference is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Mikhail V. Gusev, the former dean of Biological Faculty, LMSU (1973–2003). The Memorial section and the Young Scientist Workshop on microalgal biotechnology dedicated to Professor Mark N. Merzlyak will be held at the conference

SUPPORTING JOURNAL

Participants will be offered to prepare full papers based on their presentations. The papers could be submitted to special issues of «Biotechnology in Russia» (scheduled for 2014) and «Russian Journal of Plant Physiology» (subject to full peer review).
